JOIN THE TEAM

I am always considering curious and motivated students for work on evolutionary biology and conservation of  amphibians (and some other organisms). Our team works on a variety of projects and I am always open to discuss new ideas for interesting projects that may fit your interests.

If you think you’d like to work with us, please send me an introductory email that includes some project ideas or interests and your CV. Then we can discuss options to come and work in the lab.

GRADUATE STUDENTS

I can take Master's students through Cal Poly Humboldt (California, U.S.) but spots are limited (usually only one new student per recruiting cycle). If you are interested in joining the team, please send me a message in advance so we can discuss availability and

Occasionally, I am able to host PhD students through Universidade Federal do Pará (Brazil).

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Our team includes many undergraduate students with different interests.Whether I accept new students in the lab will depend on space availability. Students interested in enrolling for research credits (BIOL 499) MUST contact me within the first two weeks of classes.

We also have limited of opportunities for volunteering at Cal Poly Humboldt Vertebrate Museum  (see here). Many of the students working on independent research projects in the lab were initially volunteers at the Museum.
